Living a more sustainable life in Aotearoa

Sustainable Living in Aotearoa

Kia ora whanau, welcome to my sustainable living blog.

Here I share our whanau journey as we pursue a more thoughtful and responsible way of life. By practicing the uncommon art of frugality and being resourceful we hope to live more sustainably.

Sustainable living is nothing new

Living a more sustainable lifestyle is not a new idea. Plus, it is more than just composting and growing vegetables. So, as well as sharing my own thoughts I will talk with others and share their experience and thoughts on a variety of topics I believe are relevant. Below are some themes we will chat about.

Money Tree. Like it or not money plays a significant role in most people’s lives. So, these talks will be about personal finance and frugal living. As well as saving, investment, and reducing debt. Because navigating the advertising fuelled pandemic of consumerism is crucial for long term sustainability.

Garden Fresh. Growing food at home is awesome, but eating it is even better. So, I will see how others turn their home-grown goodness into yummy kai.

Living Fit. Being physically and emotionally able to enjoy life is essential to our happiness. Because of this I will chat with people who can offer simple and effective ways to improve our health and wellbeing.

Create More. Making time and space to explore our creativity may bring increased joy and satisfaction. So I will talk with creators about creativity and how it influences their lifestyle.

And more…

So, I invite you to join us on our journey of sustainable living in Aotearoa.

Wishing you health, happiness, and contentment

Adrian, Bong & Lily Melody
